Have fun and be yourself at Sunnymead...
find your sense of fun
Sunnymead Hotel brings you all the warm sunny vibes no matter what time of year it is!

Designed for fun, with a little bit of nostalgia

We've given the classic motel a glow up. Previously Lightkeepers Inn Motel, this boutique property has had a retro-inspired revival. Where did our name come from? Sunnymead is the name of a local beach in Aireys Inlet, and it really resonated with us!
Our rooms have been playfully styled and contain all of the modern essentials you need, including a Smart TV, curated local mini bar and local bathroom products from The Herbalist Bells Beach.

Our architecture and exteriors have been spruced up courtesy of Facet Design. And our bright new exteriors are set off by locally designed landscaping by Great Ocean Gardens and the talented team at Great Ocean Road Nursery. Outside our lower-level rooms, you'll find peaceful ponds and native plants. Then by the pool, retro-inspired breeze blocks and plenty of neat little spots to chill out!

So you've heard about the stay
What about the play...
Every space at Sunnymead has a touch of nostalgia, a sense of playfulness and a whole lotta personality. Breeze blocks complete our outdoor spaces, livened up with greenery and accented with our signature pop of colour.

Affectionately named "Sunnies", our pool bar will provide all the snacks, adding to ultimate Summer vacay vibes of our sparkling outdoor pool and fire pit.

Feeling hungry? Santara Restaurant serves a celebration of colour, flavour and freshness. Indian-inspired dining that is designed for sharing and grazing, paired with fun cocktails and a vibrant atmosphere!

Our onsite day spa, Indie, is delightfully different. Featuring a Rasul and bathhouse, this spa is suited to shared experiences - the more the merrier! While designed with couples and groups in mind, we welcome everyone and we tailor our experiences to each individual. After all, you're unique.

Indie Spa was brought to life through the creative interior design team at award-winning architects Cera Stribley. Realising our vision for unique 'non' spa that goes against the norm.
for fun seekers + sun seekers
preserving our slice of paradise
Sunnymead Hotel is located in Aireys Inlet with connections to Wadawurrung and Eastern Maar Country. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and their connection to this land and pay our respects to their Elders, past and present. We extend this acknowledgement and respect to all First Nations peoples and appreciate the thousands of years they have cared for and preserved this Country’s lands, traditions and Culture.

Step lightly, connect, take care, Nyatne (thank you)

We're so fortunate to be able to explore such a beautiful coastline. The Great Ocean Road is one of Australia's most iconic holiday destinations and it's important we do everything we can to make sure travellers can enjoy its beauty on many more road trips!

We're all about the fun but we also take our values seriously...

One of which being to ensure we reduce our impact on the environment and share this message with our guests.

We're always working to employ sustainable practices and carefully select who we work with. In all of our suites, you'll find local and consciously created products including bathroom amenities and handmade ceramics.

We worked very closely with these talented locals to create products that are sustainable but also uniquely beautiful
Locally owned and manufactured with sustainability in mind, The Herbalist products are designed to be kind on the skin and the environment. We worked with Kellie to curate a range of bathroom products specifically for the property, including the creation of handcrafted soaps. Right down to the very last detail, the soaps come in our very own signature colour, Turmeric (a nod to our Indian-inspired restaurant and sunny palette)!
The handmade dish for our delicate soaps was carefully crafted by Anglesea local ceramic artist, Angela Nicholson, and our teacups have been handcrafted by local ceramic artist, Melinda Solly. The custom-design embraces our fun curvy style and of course... a warm, inviting colour.

We work to minimise our footprint by continuing to support local brands and creators who care about our stunning coastal location as much as we do!
